Firearm & Equipment Guidelines for Hunting in Spain

You're welcome to bring your own firearm for your hunting trip. Alternatively, EUROHUNTS SPAIN can provide top-quality firearms and equipment for your use.

Spain is a hunter-friendly country, and we’ll ensure everything is arranged smoothly.

In both cases—whether you bring your own firearm or use ours—it is mandatory to obtain the official “Authorization to Use Firearms for Hunting in Spain.” We’ll assist you every step of the way in processing this permit.

Firearm Transport Requirements (Spanish Civil Guard Regulations):

Firearms must be transported in a hard plastic or metal case.

Ammunition must be stored separately, in an independent container.

Don’t forget to bring a soft rifle cover, which is required for carrying your firearm while out hunting.

For EU Citizens:

Hunters from the 27 EU countries must carry their original European Firearms Pass (European Gun Card).
This document is essential—without it, it is not possible to import or use a firearm for hunting in Spain.

For Bow Hunters:

Currently, bow hunters do not need an import permit to bring a bow into Spain.
However, we recommend checking directly with your airline for up-to-date regulations regarding bow transport.
